Live Earth Concerts on 07/07/07. Catchy isn't it.

I guess that a live eath is better than a dead earth, if we had a choice?   On July 7th, 2007 there will be 7 concerts, appropiately called "Live Earth, the concerts for a climate in crisis", held across the live earth promoting the music of these 'brillant' stars who are sacrificing for us all as they humbly play their tunes of cumbaya reminding us all to go green with envy.    MSN has sacrificed by created a beautiful web site with all the details, listing all the stars at each particular location, and they conveniently show you how to buy tickets to a concert.   The one at Giants Stadium go for $53 up to $348 for all the extras.  Not much of a sacrifice to ask of you for such a well rounded cast of star performances.  Well, I made enough fun of these believers.

Then there is this'breaking news story' from London featuring Leonardo DiCaprio who sent out a message about global warming at the Cannes Film Festival.  "The US star said he took steps in his own life to reduce global warming, telling the famous film festival: "I do try to live my life in a green manner. I have installed solar panels in my house and the car that I drive is a hybrid one".

"But it's more about the day-to-day things, being conscious about being a consumer, about looking to endorse green technology. People ask, 'what can a hybrid car do?' It's not about that. It's about being a consumer, the choices you make everyday."

The heartthrob has made a film, the 11th Hour, and says of the film he made about the 11th hour.  "I want the public to be very scared by what they see.  i want them to see a very bleak future."  You are right Lenardo, we do see a very bleak future for you as a hollywood star.  How did you know?

"Live Earth: useful as a green bracelet"
is a great article from Australia, but read at your own risk as they also make fun of the Live Earth.  "now we're asked to put our hands in the air like we really care about the environment at Live Earth, a multinational phantasmagoric series of stadium concerts on July 7, with the grand aim of "raising awareness of global warming".

And then there is one of ther own blasting the concerts "as a waste of time".  ROGER DALTRY, who played with U2 at Live Aid and Live8.  "The last thing the planet needs is a rock concert."  Hey, I kind of like that guy.

Well folks, Gore has been planning this thing for all this time now, has received support from hollywierd and the mainstream press, but would it not be great if not many bought tickets and stayed home leaving all those empty seats empty.   What a hoot that would be.   Could there possibly be a rain out at each location.  Oh God, please, make it rain real hard.  All that money to support those stars sure could be used for better purposes.
