Only a few hundred read this blog each week, so what effect am I making anyway? Nada? I'm just one of the many, my voice being given to those we elect. Another RINO is ready to concede to the bring them home bunch, as he states that "Republicans will be ready by September to look at bipartisan efforts to
draw down the troops that were part of the surge to help secure Baghdad".
That was the republican Senator from Alabama, Jeff Sessions as he said on CBS's Face the Nation on Sunday.
What gives with these guys? Is he really talking about the majority of republicans? Has the republican party capitulated to the likes of Reid, Murtha, Edwards, Obama and Hillary and company? Where are the Oliver North's of the party? Where are they? Does anyone not see that to secure the Middle East against the Islamic radicals and the fanatics of Iran, it will take an occupying force of American and allied troops like there was after defeating Hitler, to remain in Iraq for some time as a stabilizing force even after the government of Iraq has it's own security operation effectively controlling local resistance? Establishing democracy does take time, lots of time. I have not heard one word along these lines. But mark my word, as soon as we pull our troops out, the increase in violence in Iraq will dramatically escalate and spill into Israel, and we'll be right back defending Israel against the Islamic radicals. These are religious fanatics we are fighting, and they will not soon quit, just because we declare a victory in Iraq. Hey, if only we were as serious as these Muslims are, then there would be a totally different outlook in Washington.
I'm getting so fed up with the republican party and it's weak kneed, pansy faced, feminized responses to the socialists, the anti-America, the anti-traditional Christian Jewish culture of the country, and giving in to the democrats, that it tempts one to quit and just give up. Where are the true conservative republicans? Are there any left? Can't they speak up? Can't they get on CBS face the Nation? I'd bet they would if they made a big enough stink about the democrat plan for America. The mainstream media feeds on controversy, so give it to them. Anyway, republicans like Jeff Sessions will never get my vote nor my dollar support.
Since my time left on this earth is drawing to a close, perhaps I should just give in, enjoy those few years left and leave the country go to hell on a Muslim prayer rug. But my kids will be around for another 30 to 40 years or more, and the grandkids just might see the 2080's. What am I doing anyway? Wasting my time? When does the next season of American Idol start?
Oh, and the Cubs lost another one. Not much new there with an ineffective bull pen.
Hey, Cubs fans do not quit watching and hoping. After all these losing seasons the fans still show up, they still watch and keep track of the team, and I'm still going to rant and express the As I See It Now voice out of the heartland.
