Because of the new kid on the block, the kids who have been in the neighborhood for a long time are having their toys taken away. It’s just that the new kid wants to have their own special kind of toys which have been determined to be dangerous. So now, to be fair to the new kid who cannot have his special toy, none of the kids will have any toys.
What would you call that?

Call it whatever you want, but it is crazy, It dumbfounds the rationale. It lacks common sense. Except that to play along and ban the books of Christians since the books of Muslim were banned, that action may stymie a lawsuit on the grounds of civil rights violations. Then it makes sense. Save the money and the time involved for legal defense. But while you do that you also hurt the inmates and restrict their civil rights of having ample material to read. Uphold the rights of one and violate the rights of many. It grates on the concept of a democracy where the voting majority call the shots through a system of the rule of law.
Political correctness. It's leading the country into dangerous self-destructive territory.
