On the Hill, Senator Inhofe of Oklahoma had this to say about the "new improved" immigration bill that is working its way back onto the floor of the Senate. We are fortunate here in Okie land to have two good real conservatives representing us in the Senate, the other being Tom Coburn.
"Unfortunately it appears many in the
Senate remain deaf to the voices of the American people, as yet another
backroom deal has emerged designed to revive the fatally flawed
immigration bill and its immediate path to amnesty.
Despite the promise of increased funding for border security and
additional votes on a handful of amendments, the proposed legislation
will continue to shortcut the current naturalization process and grant
amnesty to 12 to 20 million illegal immigrants currently in our
country. That is a trade off that I simply cannot support.
I have stated from the outset of this immigration debate that I will
vehemently oppose any legislation that guarantees amnesty for illegal
immigrants, unfairly burdens taxpayers or fails to secure our borders."
What's going on in your state? Are you proud of your Senators? Are they standing with the 'real' base of the party? It takes more than two, it'll take 50 plus to keep this scam of a bill from passing this time around too.

An update on that 57 Plymouth Belvedere that was buried 50 years ago here in Tulsa land was raised, and unwrapped last night at the city convention center with thousands anxiously waiting to see the beauty. A big disappointment. All of the beer cans packed away in the trunk were rusted out and undrinkable.
There it is. The rust could be lifted off in sheets. The motor was not startable. The entire car was a piece of rust, except for the few plastic items and rubber items like the white walls.
"It's a mess" A blow to the self-esteem of Tulsa.
Oh well, that's life in the big city. For more on the story of the buried Plymouth Belvedere go to this link.
