Well, I guess you would call this diversity, or multi-culturalism, or tolerance,or stupid political correct none sense.
On Monday July 12, the opening prayer in the US Senate will be done by a Hindu priest, the first time in the history of the Senate that a prayer has been offered by a Hindu. In 1992, a Muslim offered up an Islamic prayer, so it's not the first time someone other than a Jewish or Christian offered up the traditional prayer in our Senate.
"Rajan
Zed, a Hindu chaplain from Nevada, on will become the first Hindu to
deliver the morning prayer. Zed called the occasion "an illustrious day for all
Americans and a memorable day for us."
"While the prayer will draw from Hindu religious texts, Zed said it will be "universal in approach."
"Spokesmen
for both Nevada senators - Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and
Republican John Ensign, the most likely candidates to have recommended
Zed for the guest chaplain position - did not respond to requests for
comment Monday. Zed did not say which senator requested that he be
invited as a guest chaplain." CNS.
There's that name Harry Reid again.
Keith Ellison, a Muslim, was allowed to swear his oath of office, to defend the Constitution of the United States, on a copy of the Koran. When will they install foot washing basins? When will a buddha be carved out of granite and installed in the hallways? When will they allow a Vican of the satanists to burn candles and project a curse? This stuff cannot be too far away as the religion of "diversity and multi-culturalism" hangs over the progressive liberal humanist democratic party. We must all try to get along, you know.
Call your Senator.
