Brave New North America World…..

A new group, well not that new as they have been working on this scenario for some time now, has published a study about the proposed future of the North America Continent. It’s called the North American Future 2025 Project.  An article on this and the related North American Union Plan is here.

“The North American Future 2025 project will also examine relevant future-looking work dealing with each of the six topics upon which the three governments have agreed—namely, labor mobility, energy, the environment, security, competitiveness, and border infrastructure and logistics.

Did you get that point?  “The six topics upon which the three governments have agreed.”  So, folks my understanding is that the government of the US of A have already agreed that labor mobility, energy, the environment, security, competitiveness and border infrastructure and logistics is to be subjugated to the decisions of the North American Union.   Am I right to make that assumption?

Is this why there has been such intense pressure from President Bush and the democrats for a “Comprehensive Immigration Reform package?   It has been reported that of the 700 some miles of border fencing to be constructed under the most recent Homeland security legislation only 2 miles have been completed.  Is the NA future project and the push for a North American Union and the “amero” the reason why not any more of the fence has been built?

Senator Mel Martinez, the chairman of the Republican national committee says, “it takes time to acquire the land, to buy the supplies, to get the contractors, but it’s being built. Building a fence where it needs to be built across the border,”   As he reported to a gathering of the republican state chairmen. Do you think that the fence along our southern border will ever be built? I have my serious doubts. Heck, not too long ago there was a study being made of the migration of a endangered jaguar and other animals making its way into the US from Mexico and the PETA people and the environmentalists went ballistic when the talk of a border fence was to be constructed restricting the jaguars movement.  Link is here. You do know that the environmentalists are very active in the decision as to where, when and how a barrier can be built along our border so that the wild animals are protected and not endangered or restricted by the fencing. Nope, that fence will never be built.

And then there is the subject of labor mobility. In just ordinary language it means that anyone can cross the border at any time for the purpose of finding and performing work related activities. Closing that border.  I Just don’t think that it’s part of the plan.

This new comprehensive immigration package that Kennedy and McCain and company have put together behind closed doors supposedly makes it mandatory for certain aspects of border control projects must be completed first, before any of the other parts of the bill can proceed. They call them “triggers.”   A question comes to mind as to who is selected to pull the trigger?  Who has that responsibility?   Who is selected to determine that all of the provisions of border security are finished?  Is there a date set for the expiration of the secondary provisions if the border control does not get finished?

Nope. I think all the current talk about a real fence; a real barrier between Mexico and the US is just facial crème. Then there is the plan for a common monetary unit, the Amero.

There was a meeting between President Bush, President Fox and Prime Minister Martin in March of 2005 at Baylor University in Texas. “A joint statement published by the three presidents following their Baylor University summit announced the formation of an initial entity called, “The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America” (SPP). The joint statement termed the SPP a “trilateral partnership” that was aimed at producing a North American security plan as well as providing free market movement of people, capital, and trade across the borders between the three NAFTA partners”     Link to story by Jerome Corsi

Conspiracy thinking, or future plans?   A brave new North America Plan does not appear to be the work of only a few Jewish people who were blamed for the conspiracy of the UN being the one world government.   No, these brave new world plans are of a different stripe.  We conservatives must remain vigilant and fight for that border fence first of all, and any presidential hopefull like McCain should be drilled and drilled with questions concerning the details of the plans so listed.  The devil is always in the details.

And that's as I see it now.

This teacher gets it.

Here is one teacher who understands freedom and imparts a lesson to her students.  This is one of those e-mails that is making the rounds, that you think might be made up and be one of those urban legends.  But it's not.  It is real.  It did happen.  As it happened.  Freedom is not free, it does have a cost.  Why don't someone apply that principle to the immigration debate?  Oh, they did.  $5,000 will buy their freedom and lots of benefits.

Sorry, back to the teacher who gets it.
"I have a friend who's a schoolteacher at the Robinson High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. Her name is Martha Cothren. She's a social studies teacher and a coach on the side. Back in September of 2005, on the first day of school, Martha Cothren did something that I'll never forget. Martha, on the first day of school, with permission of the school superintendent, the principal and the building supervisor, took all of the desks out of the classroom.

The kids came into first period, they walked in, there were no desks. They obviously looked around and said, "Ms. Cothren, where's our desk?" And she said, "You can't have a desk until you tell me how you earn them."

They thought, "Well, maybe it's our grades."

"No," she said.

"Maybe it's our behavior."

And she told them, "No, it's not even your behavior."

And so they came and went in the first period, still no desks in the classroom. Second period, same thing. Third period. By early afternoon television news crews had gathered in Ms. Cothren's class to find out about this crazy teacher who had taken all the desks out of the classroom. The last period of the day, Martha Cothren gathered her class. They were at this time sitting on the floor around the sides of the room. And she says, "Throughout the day no one has really understood how you earn the desks that sit in this classroom ordinarily." She said, "Now I'm going to tell you."

Martha Cothren went over to the door of her classroom and opened it, and as she did 27 U.S. veterans, wearing their uniforms, walked into that classroom, each one carrying a school desk. And they placed those school desks in rows, and then they stood along the wall. And by the time they had finished placing those desks, those kids for the first time I think perhaps in their lives understood how they earned those desks.

Martha said, "You don't have to earn those desks. These guys did it for you. They put them out there for you, but it's up to you to sit here responsibly to learn, to be good students and good citizens, because they paid a price for you to have that desk, and don't ever forget it."

My friend, I think sometimes we forget that the freedoms that we have are freedoms not because of celebrities. The freedoms are because of ordinary people who did extraordinary things, who loved this country more than life itself, and who not only earned a school desk for a kid at the Robinson High School in Little Rock, but who earned a seat for you and me to enjoy this great land we call home, this wonderful nation that we better love enough to protect and preserve with the kind of conservative, solid values and principles that made us a great nation."

Now, forward this to your contact lists and even all your democrat liberal friends (if there are any) and the anti-war crowd.

Freedom is not free, it comes at a price.  The price of freedom is not a bunch of cash paid to the feds.   No.  Not ever.

The Ten Commandments of the secular progressives.

The thou shalt nots of the 21st century.  The secular progressives have been very successful in their deliberate plan to remove Christianity from the public square under the disquise of "separation of church and state" and the new religious codes of political correctness.  Since today is Sunday and you may be getting ready to attend the worship service of your choice, the current ten commandments should remind you to be careful to leave the "real" commandments at church and at home.  Thou shalt be careful not to infuriate a liberal.

"I. Thou shalt not pray in public schools, even if students and faculty desire to.

II. Thou shalt not allow Nativity scenes on public property.

III. Thou shalt not display the Ten Commandments, in public, anywhere.

IV. Thou shalt not pray at graduation ceremonies, sport events or in mixed company, anywhere.

V. Thou shalt not permit teachers to have even their personal Bibles in class, or students to mention a Bible verse in an essay or speech.

VI. Thou shalt not allow Boy Scouts, who promote religious and moral values, the use of public property.

VII. Thou shalt not dare to define marriage as only between one man and one woman.

VIII. Thou shalt not allow crosses in war memorials.

IX. Thou shalt not say the words "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance.

X. Thou shalt not teach creation or intelligent design or any understanding of human origin except evolution."

Live Earth Concerts on 07/07/07. Catchy isn't it.

I guess that a live eath is better than a dead earth, if we had a choice?   On July 7th, 2007 there will be 7 concerts, appropiately called "Live Earth, the concerts for a climate in crisis", held across the live earth promoting the music of these 'brillant' stars who are sacrificing for us all as they humbly play their tunes of cumbaya reminding us all to go green with envy.    MSN has sacrificed by created a beautiful web site with all the details, listing all the stars at each particular location, and they conveniently show you how to buy tickets to a concert.   The one at Giants Stadium go for $53 up to $348 for all the extras.  Not much of a sacrifice to ask of you for such a well rounded cast of star performances.  Well, I made enough fun of these believers.

Then there is this'breaking news story' from London featuring Leonardo DiCaprio who sent out a message about global warming at the Cannes Film Festival.  "The US star said he took steps in his own life to reduce global warming, telling the famous film festival: "I do try to live my life in a green manner. I have installed solar panels in my house and the car that I drive is a hybrid one".

"But it's more about the day-to-day things, being conscious about being a consumer, about looking to endorse green technology. People ask, 'what can a hybrid car do?' It's not about that. It's about being a consumer, the choices you make everyday."

The heartthrob has made a film, the 11th Hour, and says of the film he made about the 11th hour.  "I want the public to be very scared by what they see.  i want them to see a very bleak future."  You are right Lenardo, we do see a very bleak future for you as a hollywood star.  How did you know?

"Live Earth: useful as a green bracelet"
is a great article from Australia, but read at your own risk as they also make fun of the Live Earth.  "now we're asked to put our hands in the air like we really care about the environment at Live Earth, a multinational phantasmagoric series of stadium concerts on July 7, with the grand aim of "raising awareness of global warming".

And then there is one of ther own blasting the concerts "as a waste of time".  ROGER DALTRY, who played with U2 at Live Aid and Live8.  "The last thing the planet needs is a rock concert."  Hey, I kind of like that guy.

Well folks, Gore has been planning this thing for all this time now, has received support from hollywierd and the mainstream press, but would it not be great if not many bought tickets and stayed home leaving all those empty seats empty.   What a hoot that would be.   Could there possibly be a rain out at each location.  Oh God, please, make it rain real hard.  All that money to support those stars sure could be used for better purposes.

immigration deal does not look good for Bush

The latest appeasement with Teddy Kennedy on the Amnesty Immigration bill does not look like a home run for Presisent Bush, but is turning into a 3 pitch strike out for everyone.   But what does one expect when dealing with Kennedy?

"But the strategy may come back to haunt him, as many Democrats said they can't accept the agreement and Republicans lined up to criticize both the deal and Mr. Bush, their party's leader."   The Washington Times has a great article on it all, availabe right here.

On other news.  McCain had a temper tantrum with Senator John Cornyn of Texas.  Does not sound very Presidential.

An American Flag flying over a Hummer dealership in Las Vegas was ordered to be taken down.  Here in America the flag is not welcome.

Gee Whiz, a scientist is saying that Global Warming is nothing but "Bunk".      Holy Cow, what will Al Gore do now?   Can you get a refund for any carbon offsets already purchased?  Have you traded in those incandenscent light bulbs for the new mecury laden CFL kinds?  Still, don't expect the major media, nor the liberals to run with this.

The Pope is being asked to apologize to the indians of South America.   Seems like Columbus had something to do with a genocide way back when he salied the ocean blue, so says Hugo Chavez.

And the battle continues between Pelosi and Reid hand in hand against President Bush over the plans for our troops in Iraq, with each side trying to look like they compromised in a bipartisan fashion really trying real hard to work out a real deal so that our real war effort could last a really short time.  The Washington Post.  Nancy even threatened to keep the lawmakers in detention after school.

The death of Jerry Falwell was celebrated by the ones he was trying to save.   They all rejected his pleas and continue to act unseemly.    But this article out of Canada praises the originator of the moral majority.

Another policeman gets shot, and killed by an illegal alien, but still the newspaper refused to identify the killer as an illegal Mexican alien, only "suspect" that he is.   It did not happen in one of the border states but in fly over country in a small town in Wisconsin.    An America officer is shot and killed by a suspected criminal is the pc way of reporting these things, as they don't possibly want to get sued by LaRaza for profiling.  Build that wall, double fence us in with pit bulls between the fences.

The Chicago Cubs won one from the Chicago White Sox yesterday.  6 - 3.  Playing again today on FOX at 3:00pm, just in case you would want to tune in.

The too short or too fat get special rights.

Yes, you got that right, If yourtoo short or too fat now you are a protected species in the same company with women, gays, transgendered, blacks, hispanics, or Arab Muslims, and the disabled.  The great state of Massachusetts is seeing the need to pass legislation protecting those short and fat people who get "picked on" at the worksite.

"Lawmakers are considering complaints ...... as they review a bill that would make Massachusetts just the second state to bar discrimination based on height or weight."

Read more at Chicago Sun Times.

To summarize the protected minorities in this country would be to say that  white, heterosexual, males of medium height and medium weight is the only class of minority not protected by ant-discrimatory laws.  Can I ask a question that is bound to come up in some lawsuit somewhere.  What is the height or weight cut off point that would make one not protected by anti-discrimatory laws?   Is it  5'0"? or less than that like 4' 10"
And what weight is aceptable?  For women, would it be 200#, and 300# for men?  How would a fellow worker know your weight and whether you could sue if a disparaging comment were made?   A sign around your neck.  A special ribbon worn on your sleve.  And the same goes for height.  No one knows how tall you are when you are sitting down, so would you be required to stand next to the wall ruler before being addressed by your supervisor of the day?  if the cut off point was 200# and that day you came to work you had lost 5 pounds so you did not qualify and a fellow worked picked on you, would you be covered?   And say a gal normally wore 3" high heels so she looked over the limit, but was really 2" under the limit, and she got picked on, would she be covered?

A good defense attorney would have a field day in court, as would a good prosecutor enjoy the game of motive of thought interpretations for the hate crimes legislation.

Stupid legislators who are better suited to be hair dressers at quick cuts.  And stupid people wanting the government to "do something" to stop these humiliating actions.  Stupid lawmakers wishing to appease the stupid.   And these people possibly vote too.   Now we are all stupid and get what we deserve.

In Iraq things are going well.

"The progress in the past three short months in Iraq is unmistakable. Since General Petraeus has taken command of MNF-I forces in mid February, the convergence of developments has fundamentally changed the outlook in Iraq. While “The Surge” has dominated discussion – be it on operational tempo within Baghdad or withdrawal timetables within the DC Beltway – progress on several vital fronts is beginning to reshape realities on the ground."

Now, wait a minute, that's not what we are hearing over here in the US of A.  All we get is a body count and the bad news of a new suicide attack killing so many civilians.  Also, all we hear is the spin on the debate and conflict between the Senate Democrats and Presiden Bush over funding that war in Iraq.  Yes, folks good news is happening in Iraq.

"As the contentious internal American political debate continues, our leaders and the American public would do well to acknowledge the significantly changing situation."

You mean there is actually hope for the people of Iraq?   Wow.  Congress, could we get on with the funding for the troops so that they can do the job, win the war and battle, and then make their way home.  How about it?

How to ruin your Senate career. Side with Kennedy.

The people in Arizona are apparently very upset with Senator Jon Kyl for being part of the committee that drafted the latest immigration bill behind closed doors.  But what about John McCain, he sides right in there with Teddy Kennedy on this same bill.  McCain supports the bill.

State Rep. Russell Pearce, R-Mesa,  "The public has spoken loud and clear on this issue," Pearce said. "It is absolutely outrageous and treasonous. When are they going to get the message in Washington?"

How did Kyl get appointed to the committee?  Whatever.  Any republican that supports this bill should start packing their bags.   What is being said and written in reaction to the bill is not complimentary, but a very angry response to a very stupid "more of the same" kind of legislation that got the country in this mess to begin with.  And Mc Cain supports the bill also.

And, this just in, McCain and a fellow republican, John Cornyn of Texas,  got into a shouting match about the bill and some words were spoken in the heat of the, shall I be polite and say discussion, that were more like a drunken sailors remarks.  Read more.

"At a bipartisan gathering in an ornate meeting room just off the Senate floor, McCain complained that Cornyn was raising petty objections to a compromise plan being worked out between Senate Republicans and Democrats and the White House. He used a curse word associated with chickens and accused Cornyn of raising the issue just to torpedo a deal."

"Things got really heated when Cornyn accused McCain of being too busy campaigning for president to take part in the negotiations, which have gone on for months behind closed doors. "Wait a second here," Cornyn said to McCain. "I've been sitting in here for all of these negotiations and you just parachute in here on the last day. You're out of line."

"McCain, a former Navy pilot, then used language more accustomed to sailors (not to mention the current vice president, who made news a few years back after a verbal encounter with Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont)."

"[Expletive] you! I know more about this than anyone else in the room," shouted McCain at Cornyn. McCain helped craft a bill in 2006 that passed the Senate but couldn't be compromised with a House bill that was much tougher on illegal immigrants."

McCain, you are not sounding very presidential.  Kyl, That was a big mistake to be on that committee and come out with this bill.

Ruin your career in two easy steps.  1. Choose to side with Kennedy.   2.  Go on a raving rant in front of enemies.

Score:  Kyl, 1 point against you.  McCain, two points against you.
McCain, you may want to consider skipping that next debate.

Heaven help us, if Hillary.....

Oh yes, we would need a lot of help if perchance Hillary got the White House.  But many have said that if Hillary gets the nomination, this will energize the conservative base like nothing else to get out and vote against her.  Hopefully they are right.

Anyway, the following illustrates the turn coats of the likes of Hillary.  This is what Hillary said in a speech to the Senate on Oct 10, 2002.

"Now, I believe the facts that have brought us to this fateful vote are not in doubt. Saddam Hussein is a tyrant who has tortured and killed his own people, even his own family members, to maintain his iron grip on power. He used chemical weapons on Iraqi Kurds and on Iranians, killing over 20 thousand people."

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001."

"It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."

Now what is she saying.  She was one of those that signed on to the Senate bill cutting the funds for the troops and setting a timetable for withdrawal.   The light is beginning to shine through to Hillary as her vision has improved and she can better see the error of her previous ways.   But that's not what she says.  "This is consistent with what I've been saying for several years."  She does have a memory problem.

Illegal immigrants speak out..

Some immigrants say yes, some say no way, on the new comprehensive immigration bill worked out in the Senate behind closed doors.

"...the path to citizenship offered by the Senate on Thursday would be too risky and too expensive, and could end up driving him deeper into the shadows."

"...not sure he can trust U.S. immigration authorities who have been rounding up and deporting his fellow immigrants for months."

"If I go home, who is going to guarantee that I'll be let back in?"

"Where would I find $5,000?  In two years, I don't get $5,000,"

"...she would be willing to pay the $5,000 fine, but not return home because her family there depends on what she earns as a hair braider."

"...he applied twice for visas in Honduras, and both times had to pay several bribes to local embassy staff."

"...If I'll never be able to bring my family, why should I apply?"

"...works seven days a week at two jobs _ one at a delicatessen and another as a seamstress. She said $5,000 is a small price to pay."

Quotes taken from this article.

Folks, this new amnesty thing everyone is talking about will not work.  It will not improve the situation that Washington has allowed to get this huge and out of control by their non enforcement of previous laws.  It's at the breaking point.   Someone is going to have to pay the price and that ought to be Washington for looking the other way for decades while the borders were open for migration.   Washington should confess up, take the blame and work on a doable bill that has a chance of working.   Simple and full of common sense.

Several of the states have recently passed their own enforcement laws because Washington will not and perhaps does not want to fix the problem.   Washington would get a good lesson by reading up on those bills for starters.  But like an illegal said above "He's not sure he can trust immigration officials".   We Americans are not sure we can trust Washington to do the right thing.  The dems want this.  The Rhinos want this and Bush wants this, but no one is listening to the American people.

First of all, before any work on an amnesty program, we Americans want to see real action on the closing down of the open borders.  Real Action.  Real fences.  Real technology that is able to detect and prevent illegal crossings.  And support for our border patrol agents, not jail time for violating a supposed civil rights violation.  When we see that happening, and the border is secure, then we might listen to a deal for those that are here now.

So, you guys and gals in the Senate, discard those 300 pages and start over.

Dag gone it,  CLOSE THE BORDER FIRST.

The immigration bill. Deal or No deal?

OK, the parties have struck a deal on immigration reform, but it’s not a reform at all. It’s called amnesty. “Key senators in both parties announced agreement with the White House Thursday on an immigration overhaul that would grant quick legal status to millions of illegal immigrants already in the U.S. and fortify the border.”

The plan creates a new temporary worker program. A separate program for agricultural workers.
A path to citizenship, out of the shadows and into legal status. A new “Z” visa program.

“The proposed agreement would allow illegal immigrants to come forward and obtain a "Z visa" and—after paying fees and a $5,000 fine—ultimately get on track for permanent residency, which could take between eight and 13 years. Heads of household would have to return to their home countries first”.

You can read the rest of the report by AP right here.

This is just my opinion for whatever it’s worth, and that won’t be much, but I’ve got to say what’s on my mind. This is my blog, so I am going to do that.

First of all, the federal government has allowed all of this to go on for decades without enforcement, so where is their apology, where is the government stepping forward and saying to the American people like you and me. “We goofed in the past by not enforcing the laws, but that time is over as we have heard from the citizens and want to do the right thing, to correct this long time program of neglect, so bear with us as we try to do what is right”

Second. If you think that these illegals are going to have the 5 grand and more just sitting around to pay the fine, think again. They are here working low wage jobs, living on the minimum. This $5,000 fine will drive these people further into the shadows never to come out and the problem will continue. And why should the feds get fatter on these fines when they caused the problem to begin with? Oh, but there are costs involved in setting all this up, the paperwork and all that stuff. Tough, take it out of the Department of Arts, department of something.

Third. If you think that these illegals will go back to their home country to re-apply through the embassies located in their home country, then think again. Oh, the cry babbies on the left will be moaning about how expensive it is, how it’s tearing families apart, and our feel good Judges will create a way to get around that part. And our congress wants to require heads of households to return home first. I just don’t see it happening. I just don’t see a big outflux of these illegal aliens signing up to go home. They don’t trust the system anymore than I do. Another reason for them to stay in the shadows.

There is another article about this bill that you ought to read also. Here.

"I don't care how you try to spin it, this is amnesty," DeMint said.
"I hope we don't take a thousand page bill written in secret and try to ram it through the Senate in a few days," he added. "This is a very important issue for America and we need time to debate it." “The illegals would be able to obtain a probationary card right away to live and work in the U.S., but the path to citizenship cannot begin until completion of border improvements and the high-tech ID system.”

Again, let the feds eat crow first.  Then instead of the federal government getting fat on these 5 grand of fines, allow the local communities to benefit from any fines, and make these illegals perform, lets’ say 1000 hours of community service in the local community at the discretion of the local community where these illegals live and work. Picking up trash along our highways. Mowing yards for the elderly. Painting out graffiti. Building homes for the hard up. Patching pot holes on our streets. Whatever. All while wearing a green vest for identification by citizens. Supervised by local volunteers, off duty police, firemen, schools, whoever. Documented by time cards.

But first. Close the border so that no new ones can enter, at least making it extremely difficult for additional illegal aliens to enter the country and take advantage of our new generosity. Yes, that’s amnesty, but at a price. Work for it.  We want to see the sweat and tears.

I can’t emphasize enough how much I do not trust the feds to handle this right either, especially when Ted Kennedy has put his stamp of approval on it.   A bill 300 pages long has to be so full of loop-holes, big enough to drive the 12 million illegals though on a Amtrak train stretched from LA to Boston.  And how many are going to read this entire package and understand it?  Another huge bureaucracy in the making.  Why should hard working American citizens always pay for the screw ups of  Washington?  We just end up paying twice.  I'm tired of it and will not vote for any candidate who endorses this thing.  Never ever. Zilch.  Nada.  And no contributions either, so quit calling.

Start over and make this simple.

And that’s As I See It Now.

From the former mayor of NY, Ed Koch. a good read.

“The Democrats, like terriers shaking a rat (Iraq) using a plan of funding war for three months -- salami tactics -- causing the Army command to recognize that the Congress, not the President, is effectively in charge, have achieved their goal: implementing withdrawal.”

“The Democrats will be responsible for affecting army morale.”

“Our army easily won the war, but then lost the occupation.”

“The two men most responsible for actions causing the debacle other than President Bush and Donald Rumsfeld were CIA director George Tenet and former administrator of the U.S.-led occupation, Paul Bremer.”

“Because the Democrats are forcing an end to the struggle in Iraq, we must now prepare to fight terrorism in our homeland for the next thirty or more years. This is a war of civilizations. The Islamic terrorists worldwide want to destroy the U.S. and every other Western nation, along with moderate Muslim nations, e.g., Egypt, Jordan, etc. Our very survival as a nation is involved. Will we have the courage and will to do all that will be necessary to prevail?”
Read it all here.

Agree. The war against Islamic radical terrorists will come here to our shores unless we defeat them there on their ground. Then, let me add this, We must continue to hold a presence in Iraq, like we did in Germany after defeating Hitler and the Nazi’s. Iran is a next door neighbor and will continue to be a threat to Israel and to Western societies, and unless we determine to hold the Middle East, it too will fall sooner or later to the likes of Iran. Our troops must continue to hold a major offensive/defensive position in Iraq, even after the Iraq government is secure and their armed forces can handle their own internal defense.

The Global Warming Pollution Reduction Act. S. 309

All I can think of at first is WOW.   Reading this takes your breath away.
A bill introduced by Bernie Sanders, Democrat VT, co sponsored by 17 other demos including Clinton and Obama.  “Amends the Clean Air Act to set forth provisions concerning global warming pollution emissions.”

"Requires EPA to: (1) establish a competitive grant program for geological disposal deployment projects; and (2) carry out a global climate change standards and processes research program. Expresses the sense of the Senate that federal funds for clean, low-carbon energy research, development, and deployment should be increased by at least 100% each year for 10 years. "

Read that line again folks. “….funds….should be increased by at least 100% each year for 10 years.” Just for argument, to illustrate how large this number will get over ten years, let’s start with a modest sum of 10 million. Remember now that they say “at least 100%”, so the actual number would be much larger. Start with 10, then 20, then 40, 80, 160, 320, 640, 1280, 2560, 5120. Put the commas in there and for arguments sake it looks like this. $5,120,000,000. That’s over $5 billion for research, development and deployment for clean air, and climbing and climbing and climbing while the air stays the same.

Well, we know that this bill is headed for the wastebasket.   No chance.   And it better get in that basket, or every medium income family in America will be trying to rent space under the bridge from the homeless. But the air will be clean. Maybe. Need more research. Another tax.  These folks are oblivious to the fact that it's not their money to spend, that it comes from us average people.  Do they ever think that all the bills, all the programs of the huge bureaucracy in Washington is funded by average citizens working their butts off to make a decent life for their families?   Do they think that by taxing businesses, oil companies and putting additional regulations on industry is only a tax paid for by those businesses, and not the average Joe?  Yep.  I believe that is the way these people think, and Clinton and Obama have signed their names to this bill.

But why do these people continue to support the climate change hysteria when more and more evidence comes forward debunking the entire hoax. Read the CBO report of April 26

Also read this report from Marc Morano –at the Senate committee on Environment and Public Works “Climate Momentum Shifting: Prominent Scientists Reverse Belief in Man-made Global Warming - Now Skeptics”

Why would two White House wannabes (Clinton and Obama) sign on to support this bill when if they had read the bill and read the latest reports from their own committee, then they would take their names away in a heartbeat? Would they not?  Or, are they just plain hard-headed and do not want to face facts?  And these two are White House hopefuls?

Guns, the devil and God.

Worth your time.  You ought to read this excerpt from "Whistleblower" magazine entitled "Firearms and Freedom".

"That's right. Dark thoughts and impulses, too horrible to dwell upon or even acknowledge, occur to many of us at the mere sight of a firearm or a naked blade. When we see the firearm, we sense the presence of evil – so naturally we assume the gun is its source, when actually the gun's close proximity caused our own buried, angry, violent tendencies to surface for a moment."  by David Kupelian

If you do not win, change the rules.

That’s the way the demos through Nancy Pelosi is approaching the problem of getting their victories in the House. Change the rules that have been in force since 1822.

Breaking news from Drudge.   “After losing a string of embarrassing votes on the House floor because of procedural maneuvering, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has decided to change the current House Rules to completely shut down the floor to the minority.”

There has to be some way to win.  Winning is the most important part of political activity.  Right?   What's best for the country comes in far behind winning one for your side.  Except,  when it comes to winning a war against Islamic terrorism, then it's what's best for the party.
